Last bid had a bunch of people transferring out of DEN/COS and taking their chances with MSP or ORD. Seems that people don't want 85% 3 and 4 day pairings. Looks like any base that has a majority of United flying will be 4 day pairings. Also, the E175 flying is all for United and 85% 4 day flying. Just another consideration for those that are trying to decided between the CRJ and E175.

The pairings have gotten so bad recently that seniority for me is irrelevant for everything other than holding days off. At least I know I can hold Christmas off as one of my 11 days off I'll get in December.

Looking at the APC profiles; SKYW operates and has the most CRJ 200's out there. Whats the future for these planes? 170 CRJ 200's can't bode well for the pilot group? Do they have a replacement plan for these?

Ya 400 Ejets on order.. But all reality they say they will fly (rj200's) tell they time out.. Regardless what the media says 50 seat flying is very stable. Look at our USair 200's getting painted into Delta paint!!! That should be proof enough.

Yeah, the 200s are making money. Enough money in fact to bring some out of moth balls. They'll keep flying until they're done.

Almost done with my sim training. Many washing out but I'm still going strong and excited to get on the line.
50 seat regional jets will be used in limited markets where they are profitable or used for EAS. The future is the larger regional jets that the majors now favor. In training at Skywest, they are saying the 50 and 70 seat RJs will fade away as the Embraer 175s appear, but will be spread out amongst all airlines. I just plan on upgrading as soon as I can add getting out. As regional airlines can't find pilots to fly, they will have to focus on the more lucrative flying and cull the rest. All regionals will shrink, many will fail and mainline flying will leave us lowlife commuter pilots more opportunity to move on.
