Shouldn't be too bad. We run flights from SAT to IAH on the 700. You should be able to get into IAH before too long. If you're on the bro, LAX also has flights to from SAT on our own metal. Good luck

Announced today:
SkyWest to Interview Pilot Candidates at Oshkosh
In conjunction with Redbird Flight Simulations at the Redbird exhibit at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, SkyWest is inviting airline career hopefuls to apply, interview, and prove their pilot skills during the week’s events at Oshkosh.
Pilots who meet SkyWest's published minimums (1,500 hours' total time and other criteria) are invited to complete a SkyWest Airlines pilot interview and flight skills test right on the AirVenture grounds.
The process starts at the SkyWest canopy located directly behind the Redbirds exhibit, No. 208. Candidates need to show proof of experience and undergo the verbal portion of the interview.
The next step is a full simulator portion on a full-motion Redbird King Air 350i sim, where applicants will be required to demonstrate airmanship, proficiency, IFR skills, and abilities. While no King Air time is required or expected, proficient IFR skills are mandatory.
These will be real interviews, and SkyWest may extend conditional job offers to those who successfully complete the process. Applicants from all facets of aviation are encouraged to apply in person at Redbird's AirVenture display. Just look for the SkyWest banner. Casual air show attire is appropriate.

SAT is one of the hardest places to commute out of. There are a ton of mainline guys that commute out of there and the jumpseat is always full to and from houston.

While true, a chunk of those flights are on Company, SKW or Express meaning priority for the jump seat.

What are the odds of a new hire getting to domicile in Denver or how hard is it to commute from Denver?

Commuting from Denver can be a nightmare. I've seen 100+ on standby for an A319 DEN-ORD more than once.

Right now on the RJ COS is the most junior base and DEN isn't very senior. You could probably expect one of those bases after not too long.

Very true you could get DEN or COS right away in the jet, problem is they are hiring into the Brasilia right now and not the RJ, I haven't heard when they are going to start new hire RJ classes

I'm looking forward to the interview. So the Bro will be the quickest way off reserve? How long can you expect to be on reserve with the bro?

Seems like when most of the Bro vacancies are filled with new hires and all those guys are on seat lock they'll then hire into the CRJ. That's just from what I've gathered as an outsider looking in.
