What happened to Steve-O? He used to be pretty good with helping crew out.
RG is a class act. It'll be a sad day if he ever leaves.

Thats 8 per seat on the 175..

Training manager in Denver, if I remember correctly, is that it is 6 per seat on the 175. So while the growth is a good thing, its going to be interesting to see how many senior people move west out of ORD, or if it will suddenly turn senior as all the junior guys move back west.

They started out with 6 and found it wasn't enough, do to the aircraft footprint of flying west coast to east coast and back in one day.... It may not be 8 exactly by its closer to that then 6.. Eighter way the fleet doubbles in the next 11 months..

But as you point out the military has a different approach that seems to work as well (at least it appears that way). I also understand that this is a somewhat "contrarian" view that goes against mainstream "pay your dues" mentality.

Military advancement serves an entirely different purpose. They are screening people to move to the next phase of a system which ultimately generates commanding officers, and generals & admirals.

For military assignments WITHIN a peer group (same MOS and duty) date-of-rank seniority is usually what determines schedule once mission, training, and career-development are accounted for. Ie, the senior person gets to take leave over Christmas.
