That link won't work unless you give us all a URL and permissions on your hard drive.

So whose bidding DTW? And how will it affect ORD and MSP staffing. I'm kinda worried no one will upgrade behind me in ORD now. Or at least it'll be at a slower rate.

A new base is a good thing, not sure why some are complaining about it.

There are actually some nice areas surrounding Detroit... Honestly I'd rather live there than most places in the Midwest.

Squallrider 04-30-2016 04:01 AM

Who's complaining? It will make trips out of MSP more efficient (something people complain about all the time) and provide another junior base for people that want to fly to fly, not to mention a very easy commutable base. Only people I can see complaining are the mid level seniority guys in MSP who know some people below them will leave.

The positives far outweigh the negatives. More room for growth. New base will attract new applicants who wouldn't necessarily have considered SkyWest before. All the people that live in and out the DTW area that have been commuting will sift out of other bases allowing some people at other bases to move up the food chain. More opportunities for SkyWest to expand their route structure.
