My child care situation has changed and Skywest's domiciles work better for me.
I know someone with 3 failed checkrides who was in my class and did just fine. I also know someone with 4 failed checkrides and got hired. Take full responsibility and explain what you learned from each failure.

Laugh it up chuckles. For all you know I'm senior to you. Amazing the douchbagery that exists in this airline. God forbid someone would try to leave this place better than they found it.

Prospects, for the record it's rare to find this level of douche on the line. Still, if you want seniority to be followed look elsewhere. It's mearly a "recommend order" for management. Some people clearly don't like me saying that but it's the truth. Come here and find out.

Which means you're going to do what, exactly? Post a lot on here? How exactly does one pilot 'rock the boat hard and long'?

You'll be fine, just explain what happened and take ownership of it. I had busts too but was quite a number of years before I came to Skywest, they didn't seem concerned.

The fact that it took over a year to get jump seat access on Delta should tell you everything you need to know about how worried our People department is about taking care of the employees. I swear that some of the Bro pilots didn't have the same travel benefits back in the day, but I can't remember for sure. It seems like there was a Bro base that didn't do flying for a partner and they didn't have flight benefits.

I agree but people would never hold off bidding for a upgrade, and new hires are more than happy to fly the 175, i.e. it would always have been staffed. Ive heard its a Skywest person in benefits stopping it from happening, probably want to save themselves a little competition out of SLC would be my guess if its true.

If you are a winged military aviator, that would supersede all the old civilian busts. If not, I think you're still OK with SKW assuming those busts were all in an isolated time period and reflect the circumstances of the time. A lot of busts spread out over a long period of time would indicate low pilot aptitude, or poor work ethic combined with inability to learn from mistakes.

Perhaps a little less nitpicking and some reading comprehension work would serve you well.

Count me as one junior guy ready to rock the boat hard and long. Let's let the current situation stew until the summer flying comes on in a tidal wave. Moral is just approaching the edge of the cliff, won't be long now before the plumet. I'm sure support will be much easier to find then.
Notice CCB mentioned rocking the boat and I lended my allegiance that I'd be willing to "rock the boat" referring to another union drive. I'll also bring your attention to the word "ready" which implies I haven't done anything yet. Good find Sherlock. You busted a forum poster who doesn't have anything to show for their posts. Shocker there.

Truth is there are people talking behind the scenes and another Union drive is probably a lot closer than some anti-union guys would be comfortable with. I'd bet a lot of the people hired in the last two years would be quite happy to vote yes.

Thanks to all who replied. I appreciate the feedback. I will use this advice as I move forward.

Another question, what are the chances of a new hire going to LAX or PSP?

6-9 months to get those bases.
