Depending on training department. When I went through IOE there was some back up and had several people take difference class before even starting IOE and did their IOE on a 700 or 900 and then got qualified on the 200 afterwards. Pretty rare and unlikely but it does happen. Expect the 200, then do differences within a couple weeks to a couple months. Then if your in a mixed base never see the 700 or 900 again for 6 months until u randomly get reflowed onto one. Or get awarded the really crappy 900 Norfolk VA stand-up that nobody wants

Hey, I'm seatlocked for two years on the CRJ and wanting to transition over to the E175 into SEA after it expires. Do you guys think that they'll honor my seniority and let me do it or will it end up in endless bypassing.... Is there anyway to break the seatlock? (not sure that I want to, just trying to conjure up ways of doing so if I change my mind).

You won't be bypassed. If you're seatlocked you're locked. You won't be bypassed officially until your seatlock is up and they transfer in jr guys.

No way to break the seatlock unless you're upgrading and they need you.

Sorry bud.

Either way. I started on the 700 for IOE and then did differences on the 200; eventually was qualified for the 900. It just hinges on which base you select for IOE. After you finish IOE and differences, you will fly both while on reserve. Then once you become a lineholder your seniority will not be able to hold 700/900 trips since those go senior in base very quickly (there is a higher pay rate for both 7/9 trips).

Sorry bud.

No worries. Thanks for clarifying that.

I have a couple questions about seat lock as well. 1) Is there somewhere on SWOL we can go to see are seat lock end date? 2) Does seat lock start from hire date or end of IOE?

I selected E175 in my interview and got assigned CRJ, so I want to verify I received only the 1 year seat lock.

Go to operations, standing bid list.

It'll show freeze end.

Should be 12 months from first day of class

For the Seattle guy with the question, since he picked his airframe, it's 2 years for transition, 1 year for upgrade.

Go under PBS on the homepage, and then click on standing bid list. Put in a bid for ERJ FO. It should say something like "ending freeze training date after *insert date after date of hire*"

Delete your bid afterwards, (no biggie)

It begins after your date of hire.

Thanks, it shows 12 months
