SLC

How long to get SLC, and what would the reserve time frame look like? What would a reserve schedule look like ie: start time release time. Sorry if these are dumb questions, I'm new to the 121 market. Thanks!

Different strokes, I used to bid res and enjoy doing my projects.
I also enjoyed OBR.
Then staffing got tight and my phone rang often and I was off to a line.

What are the current reserve times for ORD on different equipment? Is the crj the best bird to request if ORD is where you want to be based? Thx.

A CRJ buddy of mine has been on reserve there for 4 months now and very close to holding a line.

Curious...

If I applied today when could I expect to get an interview? Class date?

There doesn't seem to be too many career/interview events listed on their calendar for this month. At least none that I can attend...

You can expect a call back within 2 weeks generally, they will fly you to SLC. They can put you in class as soon as your ready and have the ATP mins. I took a month off between ATP mins and training and don't regret it. Training will take around 2 months with a 4-6 week wait for IOE for CRJ. Not sure about the training time/IOE wait for ERJ.

This has been asked and answered within the past several days. Read the thread!

Good info, thanks EFB.

I have Thanksgiving as well as Dec 22nd-Jan 6th off with my current employer but will hit ATP mins late this month, so I'm trying to decide when I should make the switch. I guess I could always request a Jan class date but as you all know, seniority is everything.
I'm hoping for CRJ/PHX off the bat, could do CRJ/DEN where my home is as long as the commute isn't awful. Reading the thread it sounds like MSP/DTW is inevitable for a few months:cool:

Guys you're building valuable patience. We're experiencing a great time in the industry. Relax. Reserve sucks but it's not forever. Everything gets infinitely better once you can live in base and bid with decent seniority, but it does not happen at smart phone speed.

SFO? No.

SEA, LAX and SLC.

Out of base reserve. Youre an msp reserve, theyre fat that week and need you in sfo. You get flown to sfo and sit in a hotel for 4 days.

Except you're automatically "call first" if OBR and they will abuse you. If not flying, you'll get stuck with airport reserve.

That's new. It used to be very last call, which people hated.
