West Coast Best Coast:) I'm crossing my fingers for PDX for reserve in Jan. Looks like SFO now I gather though...

Look at how many targeted line holders. Let's just pretend it's sixty. Look at the seniority list and copy number sixty's employee number down. Go to the employee directory at the top of the page and paste the number in the correct box and search. That will give you a date of hire. This will give you worst case for a guaranteed line. Does not account for senior people bidding reserve, leave, etc. Happy obsessing.
How long does it take to get from ground start date to IOE? About 4 months? So those guys I'm seeing starting Feb that are just getting a line at MSP really is about 5 months on reserve. Can't complain with that I assume? How much reserve will be on call compared to ready reserve at the airport? I have no complaints with waiting a few months at home and chillin to get my line. |

This is certainly news to me. What was the DOH for the most junior DTW lineholder?
I'm 3/28/16 class and still a good 10 short of a line in MSP. I do however have a buddy who was in my same class and transferred to DTW last month and got a composite line. We are just way overstaffed right now. More flying to accommodate would be nice. Because min pay (training/reserve) for a year is not a happy place. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Is 20% reserve on both airplanes and both seats overstaffed? How about we are properly staffed for the first time since 2013 and guys still can't get time off. Block hours are higher this December than last. We are not far below summer month block hours.
Plugs should see it bodes well that skyw can still hire enough to cover these high block hours and keep the wheels from coming off. Long game>short game. In a hurry for 4on2off? I'd rather my wife knuckle my nuts than fly a line in 'Minne' |

Haha! What's wrong with the MSP line flying? Just the routes and aircraft suck?

Junior base is relative as to what you are wanting now. Junior as in a makeup of mostly junior pilots is MSP, ORD, DTW. Junior as in when you can hold a line first is FAT, PSP, and SFO.

Curious as to where most of the pilots who move on from skywest are going? Mostly Delta, or UA, AA, and others.
