Yeah, OBR deadhead to sit for 5 days only to then deadhead home after the tour is up, without flying is great! Sitting for days in a hotel that has no food available, and the only food is a 5 mile van ride to a Subway makes it over the top!

(and Perrone was what they listed in the latest "welcome aboard" packet, so whatever that's worth)

I'm really not a fan of the shiny leather jacket, in general - would love to find a more subdued example if I can get away with it.
If I have to wear something warm I'd love to find one that wasn't too pimp looking.
I like to avoid the "I"m a pilot" look.
I saw a FO wearing what looked to be a dull and very dark brown one in a Northwest airport that looked decent.

And thanks for the shoe advice, was going to get something nice (no reason we can't make this look good), but it sounds like that's a bad idea.
Uniform, you do understand the concept? Even if you are just getting the 121 ticket punched, you are on "official" probation for a year, and unofficial for your entire tour at SKYW. I hate to make the obvious, well obvious, you are by definition "a pilot", want to wear civvies, go PT91 and fly a citation of something like that. And when you get to DAL you will look like a Panamanian doorman/German Admiral so there ya go.....

Which airframe will I/could I make more money flying the first year: E175 vs. CRJ?
(Fresh out of training, assuming West-ish based, eventually)

(difference in hourly pay is negligible)

Can't believe I didn't ask this earlier. Figured it wouldn't matter, but does it?

I've done that too. You must not have been paid for it. Oh well.

Yes, sometimes 700 total time, they want you to hit mins within 6 months or you have to reinterview

Wildly variable dependent upon circumstances at any given time, just flew with a ERJ guy who had a whopping 400 hours block in 13 months. Figure base pay times minimum guarantee and anything beyond that is gravy.
In this business the only certainty is uncertainty. Basing your decisions on anything that has occurred in the past is just as accurate as the magic 8 ball for the future.
The next few years will be a wild roller coaster of uncertainty, if this isn't your cup-o-tea, well.....

2.5 years of minimum guarantee. I would have made more money as a senior F/O flying high credit 4 days, in domicile commuting by car from home.....

You must have gotten in well before me or have bid horribly. I've been on reserve for 7 months of the last year and a half. The other months have been composite lines. That's as a ORD ERJ FO the whole time. I live here and work a second job. So, like I said, to each their own but it's really not that bad

Um, CCB is a top 10% 175 CA who's been here many more years than you. He's referring to a long time ago, when you did indeed have to sit reserve for years. The movement you are experiencing now is a rare situation for the industry.
