You're kidding, right? Without a type rating, SKW pays $33,288 first year. With the bonus, $40,788. That's about $23,700 less than Endeavor, and about $21K less than the AA WOs.

How is it in line with "other regionals"? If you mean more than Mesa and Go Jets, I'd agree. Middle of the pack, perhaps.

Tried to find it, as I remember reading it somewhere here, but couldn't. Can someone give me the break down of training? How long for I doc/systems/sims etc? From day one, how long were you in SLC? Thanks! Heading to ATL for Ctp on the 4th

Indoc plus ground is 3 weeks. Sim can start anywhere from the day after ground to up to 4 weeks after finishing ground and it's close to 4 weeks long. Sim can be in SLC, ATL, CVG, and STL (unless they already moved the ATL and CVG sims to DEN, last I heard the move hasn't been completed yet).

There are FO's at Piedmont that made 100k by picking up 300% overtime on days off and not having a life. He was talking about just base pay, which is over 20k higher.

I don't agree with picking a regional based on where you currently live. Unless you are independently wealthy or have a sugar momma you want to pick a regional that has the best opportunity to get you out the fastest. If you want the 2 year upgrade or whatever the junior upgrade is you have to move to a junior base anyway. I think it's worth it to upgrade a year or two quicker. It could get you to a major a year or two faster. Your talkin 200-400k on the back end of your career. When you get to a major then pick a base where you want to live. They have lots of em.

Using that logic if I lived in Houston I would just work for Mesa. Not a good career move especially now the quick upgrade is gone.

Except those bonuses will be ending soon where as Skywest has always had 4 bonuses and after last pay agreement it's up to 6, as a captain I get around 9k a year, and these programs aren't going away and aren't in place to attract people like a band aid bonus. SkyWest hires 80-100 a month, its growing and upgrade under two years.

Also you're pulling those numbers out of the air, no one at any regional makes the same pay as everyone else. With the growth we are havingnif you bid t fly with check airman, get displaced and pick up stuff then you will make a lot more. If you sit around waiting for money to fall into your lap in any job you'll only earn the minimum.

Cool story Bro. So what's 3rd year pay and beyond look like? I bet it looks like ours. Base pay is in line with other airlines. We don't offer bonuses because we don't have to. People are still flocking to us because we are not the other airlines you mentioned. So until we are so bad we have to pay people extra to entice them to come here, we won't.

I've tried them all. Verizon is the correct answer.
