Similar boat as you in regards to experience (almost all 135) Citation... I was recently told by a Virgin recruiter at a job fair that they wanted to see some 121 experience. According to him, they had a recently had a number of 135 folks come through and struggle mightily. He would not elaborate much other than to say the highly structured environment and procedures were a problem for these folks....
On the other hand, I keep hearing of 135 peeps moving up to other majors. Gets me wondering if these people moving up had prior 121 time at some point.
So, I can sympathize with your conundrum there... However you go, best of luck to ya!

Thanks petethedog. Nice to know I have company out there. So confused as to what the hell to do. I think what scares me the most is the possibility of the economy going to hell and having this hiring craze come to a halt, and now I have taken a huge pay cut to go to a regional and no one is hiring. I then could find myself retiring at a regional and that is not the goal

I would do as others have suggested and apply to some LCCs. Pay will be better. Work rules probably about the same or better at most LCC and better stability. That way if your time waiting for a call to the majors is longer than anticipated you aren't stuck working for a subcontractor. And you still get your 121 experience.

Go to a good LCC. Don't waste your time at a regional, you'll end up hating the industry. I know plenty of corporate guys who went to JetBlue, VX, Frontier, etc, and made the jump to a major from there without ever having to serve one day at a regional airline prison camp.

Idk. I'm here, a few months in and since they've hired like another 200 175 FOs and none have made it here. But, things change so fast it's hard to guess appropriately.

The newest FO to get assigned to LAX was hired in Dec 2016. 6 to 12 months if you are being conservative.
