ERJ junior bases and reserve

Can someone please give me a rough idea of how long people have been sitting reserve in any of the West coast bases? And can a West coast base reserve schedule be built with 3 days off in a row? Thanks

Interesting. Can you direct me to the legislation?

Here is more interesting reading from the Federal Court of Appeals from 2 months ago regarding Dallas Love gate wars. This one between Delta, Southwest Airlines, and the City of Dallas.

The most interesting thing in this article is that the 2 United gates used to belong to ExpressJet, and United assumed the gates from them.

It looks to me like the limiting factor is the 20 gates and what air carrier has the gate leased, and not anything else. That is great news for SKW E175 pilots as we will have more routes to fly come August.

Anyone SLC based know of we still have to pay $45/month for employee parking when we get domiciled in SLC?

Also, once we get our bid transfer since it's at the end of the month do you still have to fly the next month at your old domicile since you'd already have bid for that domicile or how does that work?

Parking in base is free.. call the admin. They should give it to you a few days before..

I'm not based yet, commuting. That's why I asked for when I get based there if it's still going to cost me. Thanks!

Once you are based there no. Just make sure to remind them. That's probably one of those things they don't necessarily monitor closely.

If you pay out of pocket at all while you wait, submit an expense report. I got my $60 worth of parking reimbursed and quickly a pass.

Think there are still 2 aircraft to be dilevered..I would say .. No.. SkyWest is not getting QX 175's as of now... more route shifts as QX uses our routes to start there operation.. But i do think its position as QX is running into problems.. sim not ready, pilot contract problem ect...

Why would any pilot really want to go there? Pay? Upgrade? Equipment? Domiciles? Schedules?

Don't get me wrong. I have some good friends over at QX and I certainly don't wish their demise. But, if you can't get pilots, you can't fly the airplanes you have - much less new ones. It probably doesn't help when you sue the company that has kept you in business, in spite of industry realities, for several years now.

At some point, they are going to cease being AAGs golden child and I don't think those shiny new "jungle buses" will be going to the desert anytime soon.
