Don't get me wrong. I have some good friends over at QX and I certainly don't wish their demise. But, if you can't get pilots, you can't fly the airplanes you have - much less new ones. It probably doesn't help when you sue the company that has kept you in business, in spite of industry realities, for several years now.

At some point, they are going to cease being AAGs golden child and I don't think those shiny new "jungle buses" will be going to the desert anytime soon.

It's actually the opposite, Horizon has bailed Alaska out of declaring bankruptcy multiple times in the past. Without Horizon there would be no Alaska. Our union has also bailed Horizon management out several times from mismanaging the company into the ground. Skywest has always been AAGs golden child, from the minute they rolled out the red carpet and gave you all our RJs. One of the directors actually wanted to have a Horizon/Skywest barbecue in celebration of it, clueless moron lol.

Define long. Some were 7 years reserve back in the day. But i guess for the new guys anything over a month is long...

I was hoping less than 6 months

About 6 months - 9months. That's my personal guess if the status quo is the same.

Yes they often do...4 on 3 off is common.

Thank you so much for the replies. I have found myself in a situation where I need to either s$@t or get off the pot. I'm a 46 year old corporate pilot and I either stick with it or go get some 121 time and try to get on with a major in the next couple years. Again, thanks for the replies.
