Default Eastern Bases

Anybody ever hear if SKYW would open any eastern US bases? Just wishful thinking.

How well does the Honeywell do the mex 5s?

Rather not be the tip of that spear.

People can say what they want about SAN or BOI being the next bases to open, but I'll tell you right now that it will be ATL. DTW and MSP crews have tons of pairings that start with a deadhead to ATL, you fly for 4 days and then deadhead back. Our flow board even has tail numbers that state they are ATL based aircraft. ASA is losing all 50 seaters and shifting their remaining dual class fleet to NYC. Yes, 9E has an ATL base opening in July but they cant cover all of that flying.

I've even seen DEN pairings that have a DH to and from ATL to do that flying.

Ugh. Yep, super long four days, deadhead to Atlanta and back with two days in Fort Smith, or any other the other hamlets down there.

Default Early Release

Newb here, just curious about the early release option. Is this awarded regularly(ERJ)? How are the number of potential early releases calculated? If I could bounce out town early that would be cool, if not eh, whatever...

Thanks,

Thanks,
Put in the request online, you might get a release email. If not, you can try calling and bugging them. Sometimes the squeeky wheel thing works.

Thanks for the info, ended up taking my name off the list because I just didn't need it anymore.

In my short time on reserve I think I requested early release 10 times. Got denied 10 times as well. And, of course, I was never used on any of those days.

Great if you're sitting reserve at home. Not so great when you're commuting to reserve and your last option departs 15 minutes before your official release time...
