It was discussed earlier, but for Alaska, SkyWest will fly to:
Alaska: SAN to BOI, AUS, DAL, FAT, OMA, SLC, SMF, SJC, HDN.
Through DAL, Alaska E175s will fly to LGA, PDX, SJC, SAN, and DCA.
Horizon will still get a big chunk of SAN flying for Alaska.
They will fly from SAN to:
ABQ, MCI ,MSP, MRY, STL, STS, FAT, MMH, SMF

Hmm, will they get employee parking at the SAN airport now or will the airport management still say no, you can take the bus in?

Can anyone give me a brief history lesson on SKW DTW base?
Keeping family rooted in DTW area is important. Considering SKW as regional choice.
Thoughts on why they opened it? And what factors allow it to stay open? Only thing I know is its a fairly new base.
Also, is the two hour call out; call to gate, or call to airport property?
Thx

Trying to figure out what will happen to a base is anyone's guess. All there is to tell you is right now Detroit is massive and that's where you'll go out of training. If you're 6 months from training, it could all change by then...if longer than 6 months just don't even bother worrying about it now.
From my interview to class date(which was only 3 months) the same thing happened to MSP and that's what I was planning on. Just figure it out when you get on property. Now MSP is obtainable almost the same time as SLC. Nobody can predict these things.

FWIW... Management in the past has stated they will not open a domicile unless they can get a commitment from our partners that we will be able to keep it open for at least three years.

How long would you guys say the gap from interview to class start date is? I'm interviewing in about a month. Preference will be CRJ, if I get to choose.
