I never pegged you as a company guy before. Either I'm mistaken or possibly the company has fooled you.
Could it be you live where one of the rumored bases is and are foolish enough to believe that you must accept a lower than average pay package for the company to survive and grow?
In the current state of the industry, there is absolutely no reason for us to accept anything less than the best. The value of a pilot has never been higher and you are doing yourself and every other pilot a disservice by working for less than you're worth. Every other regional (less Mesa) are seeing increases in compensation, don't let the company fool you.
I am not saying this new negotiation will be unacceptable, but by the sound of the email, it will surprise me if it is. I wait patiently to hear the details.

The vote probably won't happen for another month. SAPA will release the details in a week or two than there will be another week or two where it will be discussed during SAPA roadshows.. They may just present the info or they may actually try to sell it.

Even with the type bonus and the boost to $36.50/hr, I didn't come close to $61k. More like half that.

I agree pay needs to go up, but with Mesa I would not believe it's worth that money. They have their Captain's sign a training contract. So first a new hire signs one training contract, then in upgrade they sign another to prevent them from leaving.

You don't consider working 90+ day after day with no reserves to drop as working overtime?

Working overtime means doing extra. If you can't drop awarded flying you are not flying over time. On the other hand if you're flying your awarded line and picking up trips at straight pay then you are doing overtime.
Now what you really mean is wouldn't it be nice to be able to drop. Yes. But sometimes you just have to get workitis if you can't drop.
