I don't know if SkyWest has hired more second language people than others, but I seem to fly with many left seat second language people.
It really bugs the hell out of me as there is something wrong with my ear. "what?"
I guess its just accents that I'm deaf too instead of second languages, Britts and their colonials give me aggravating trouble.

Who is going to do all the UA flying with SkyWest pulling out?

So your saying SkyWest will cover all that flying by just flowing in and out of IAH? Where is United wanting MESAs 175s placed then for their network? Doesn't make a lot of sense...

It's fine of you don't wanna believe it, it's what's happening. Besides, iah is an all 700 base. And we've lost over 30% of those planes in the last 5 months alone.

There will be no flowing thru once the 700's are gone from United at the end of the year. It's not only going to hurt Houston but all bases that the 700 operates on United.

This is all very simple. All but 7 or so of our UA 700s are going away and are being - partially - replaced by 175. If you look at the UA 10K you can figure out that pretty much all capacity up to the scope limit is spoken for.
UA has chosen Mesa for IAH. So there may be the eventual flow through from one of our other bases. But don't expect to see many 700's in UA colors by end of next year. And unless IAH will become a 175 base I don't see a scenario where it remains open.
On that note, do not expect to see much of our 700 capacity to resurface elsewhere. yes, some DL 700s are being replaced with of contract UA 700s but that is a left pocket right pocket game. Our overall 700 fleet will go down. For reference, look at our last two earning calls and the one time write off we took for early lease terminations. That's for 700s that we wish to place but apparently are not confident enough in so that we had to take a hit under SEC rules.

I seriously doubt that the company sponsors visa's for foreign pilots. But I may be wrong.
You also make the - probably false - assumption that everyone with English as a second language is here on a visa or sponsored for a visa...
This is very simplistic and probably way off.....
