On 1/24/2017 you posted this: "I'm a new hire about to finish IOE on the ERJ... I have a family wedding that I will be a part of mid spring. I want to be sure to have that time off... About 4 days. How can I go about doing that? I heard of golden days but am not entirely sure what those are... Is there a way to get those off for sure? Thanks!"

So are you on the ERJ or the CRJ???

How do you think we're able to hire people with 25 hours multi...?

It's logged as multi engine sim time on the 8710.

Thanks for the info, guys. Is skywest going to a home study for systems training system for new hires? Someone told me this was going to happen, but I had thought only Envoy did this. Also, what are the shared rooms like in Denver? I heard in Salt Lake for the crj the rooms are a little bit separated to give some privacy. Is it similar in Denver? Thanks

There's some CBTs you are expected to complete on your own time before systems and after INDOC, but not at all, systems by itself. The rooms in Denver are not bad. A suite with a common area and two separate rooms. Some people ended up sharing a room with two beds.

With the amount of new hires failing the systems test after having the full class I highly doubt that it will be online. The FAA in salt lake would be very accommodating I'm guessing... that was sarcasm by the way.

The director of training told my class they were in the works of making systems all CBT'S. Not sure the progress or details on it. Don't a lot of airlines do that?

Is that really a thing at any airline? All CBTs for training would be flunktastic.

I know this is the case at Delta, not sure about the other majors.

CBTs might be good for the ERJ side of the house, I've heard that their ground school instructors are "special".
