Anyone heard anything about what OO's plans are regarding the CRJ 200 and making them ADSB compliant by 2020? I feel like there is no way from a cost/benefit perspective that it would make sense. Also, I assume the ERJ's are already fully compliant, is that correct?
We have an FOIB regarding. All of them are getting 2 fms' and an adsb light. Some are out there already

Yes, they're getting them. The cost may be a bit high in relation to value of the airframe itself, but it's nothing compared to the revenue SKW can continue to generate by flying them for years to come.
The 200's are cheap. And were "power by hour" with GE. Were there largest engine user, that equals cheap... i think will continue to pick up used ones to cover the ones timing out.. so pretty much a flat CRJ200 fleet over the next 10 years..

When they retire the E-175s to the "boneyard", they'll fly the crews home on the CRJ-200s. Haha!
We said that same thing about flying home crj crews taking 200s to the desert in a Brasilia... That didn't happen sadly

The 200 is the most profitable airplane for OO right now. They will update them. From what I understand they've already started on the 700s.

Well that goes to show how little pilot pay has on profitability.

There's an FOIB out now... So yes, it's happening.
