A union drive doesn't necessarily have anything to do with ALPA. In fact, if there was a union drive starting, I'm almost positive it would have nothing to do with ALPA. The last few pilot groups that went ALPA have all been organic. ALPA now takes the stance that they are hands off until the internal union drive is well under way and strong. So I doubt you have anything to worry about.
Not saying anything is going to come of any of it. In fact, I dont't have high hopes at all, but efforts are underway, and they most definitely include ALPA.

Hmm, well, care to explain why ExpressJet had Soft Landings 2.0 before we did, when SAPA were the ones to negotiate it? Seems like everything we get, XJT gets first. Why do you suppose that is?

No matter how many airplanes we receive, it isn't worth voting in a loss of pay and more importantly taking away negotiating power from other regionals.

Accepting a contract that leaves money on the table is concessionary. That's exactly what we did.
Some people complain that you don't want to pay ALPA a cut of your pay?
Newsflash- you've already given away a cut of your paycheck when you voted yes to that contract, but instead of going to ALPA for benefits from them, it's paying for airplanes for the company.

Flight instructors have more leverage than regional pilots, because they can vote with their feet.
The only way to win is to get out (or get really lucky and a catch good wave such that you retire before your regional reaches the end of it's natural life cycle).
You have to decide for yourself whether the benefits they do offer are worth 2%. But they'll happily take your money either way.

Our pay raise didn't even match inflation. My spending power will still decrease next year when compared to this year. That is asinine.
