I voted no and can understand basic math. :mind blown :

Skywest pilots are in the top tier.
New hires though have industry losing bonuses and I am very happy about that. Pay needs to be in hard rates.

Block or better?
Credit or better?
I've watched skyw do an envoy route for a month with 10 more minute of scheduled block on the same CR7.

I believe that it was the super senior guys as well as the new hires that were yes voters. The lifers did it because it was one more small piece of the pie that they can nibble on into retirement. And the new hires did it because their instructors in SLC told them they had to vote yes.

Lifers are relatively few in number, and even many of them are burned out by scheduling practices lately.

It was all the people who need fast upgrades, and expect to move on soon.

So you're saying the regionals will hire you?

This. Which is exactly why new hires should not be able to vote.

I'm not sure that's the case Rick. The fast upgrade is already here. All the SLC lifers and 175 captains are living a pretty good life. I think there are more lifers here than you think.

This^. There are so many lifers that it isn't funny. They won't admit it outright, but when I ask whether they have their apps out and they say no and they have been here for twelve years, 2 + 2 = lifer. And even if they are not lifers, they have worked here long enough that they will benefit from the boost in 401k.
