Hiring 2022

They should bring them to Dallas for a day, hang a badge around their neck. Do the rah rah stuff, put them on the payroll and send them home until March.
I think the 3+ month delay between offer and class is going to cost them a not insignificant number of newhires.

-Keep Pilot Credentials updated
-Wait for an application window to open
You’ll hear about it here or maybe a SWA email
Potentially several windows next year
-Attend conferences like OBAP and WAI
They may open a window just for attendees
-Get an email invite for the online interview
About 1 week from invite to interview
Lasts about an hour. Pilot, HR rep
Some basic questions and logbook review
-Get an email invite for in-person interview
Received 3 days after the online interview
Get letters of rec loaded
Complete PRIA paperwork
4 weeks out was next available interview date
1 day interview. Pilots/HR panel & LOI
-Wait 2ish weeks for a call from a chief pilot
-Wait for a class date
Currently filling Jan, Feb, Mar

Thanks. If I can just log in to that virtual scheduler when there's actually a slot. My timing is always coming up with nothing available.

I feel like the time it take you to get an interview can be a little bit random, but as data points, from my interview date to class date at UA was 2 months, AA 6 weeks, SWA 5 months after virtual and about 17 weeks after in-person
