App goes in tomorrow. Only SWA for me. AM guy - live in Base (and alternative is poor) - solid financials. As a paying customer for years, SWA has noticeably better morale amongst staff.

Its just going to have to work out 💪

After entering the application window, when do you receive an indication if the intention is to interview? Is it scored by an algo with a quick response or is there a human component to the app review?

If you are not scored for an interview, is it radio silence?

Apologies for the noob questions. This is a first encounter with 121 application process.

Thats a great line for the interviewers, but not a sound strategy for job hunting in the current environment.

I understand the perspective. If aviation was my first career, I might agree. SWA is the only good fit for my situation.

Different strokes...

Apologies for the noob questions. This is a first encounter with 121 application process.

Technology is not Southwest's strong suit. The best indication is in the application dashboard, when you submit you will see a status:

Submission Received - Good; Computer didn't flush you out immediately
Under Review - This usually happens right before a virtual interview
Closed Complete - You are not being considered in that window

They did update the application dashboard so it might have changed. Sometimes you get an email and sometimes not. Apply every window and update your pilot credentials frequently. Took me 5 windows to get a call. Some it took 1, others 20. Zap gives good advice, apply everywhere right now, keep moving up until you end up where you want.

Any idea of the likelihood I will get an interview based on the above?
I have 3500TT 500PIC turbine & no degree. Class date 12/20.
I had 6 letters of recommendation to include 1 internal rec.

It’s most definitely doable!

Congrats!

What was the timeline of your app/interview/cjo/class date? Did you uploads the letters on PilotCredentials before you were offered an interview, or were they submitted as part of the interview stage?

I applied during the July window. Received an invitation for an interview in October. I attached all the letters of recommendation during the interview prep stage. I interviewed on the 9th of November and had a CJO on the 10th. I used Ace Interview for prep and used centerline for my app review before publishing on pilot credentials.

Hope this helps.
