those would be fine as long as they are easy to find without flipping through each page (with the logbook closed)

It doesn't matter what you use. Just have the page somehow highlighted so it's easy to find for your sake. The check is just a cursory glance to make sure you are who you say you are and there aren't any red flags. As was said above, it's more to interact with you. Mine was 8 years ago, but it was literally 5 minutes of logbook and 25 minutes of telling stories in a very informal way, no TMATT idiocy. Pilots have an innate way of detecting douchery as a survival tool, and that's exactly what this is.
There are also pilot background checkers that you will probably never meet except perhaps through a phone call to get more info. They will delve even further into your past. If there are any inaccuracies in your story, it's probably going to be found in that process. They call all your old jobs and references and if anything comes up that sounds suspicious, they will go digging further.

A squadron-mate, who was hired, interviewed with another AF Reservist from a different heavy lift unit. This other fellow had been a fighter pilot on active duty. ALLEGEDLY, on his app, the former fighter pilot had rightly claimed all of his single seat time as PIC, but then went on to claim about 90-95% of his heavy lift time as PIC. Those in a heavy lift unit recognize this as rather unrealistic, especially if one is coming from outside the airlift world—there is seasoning and development that would preclude immediate PIC status.
The Interviewers are aware of this, and challenged the fellow on his claimed PIC time, cross-checking the mil-provided flight records. Supposedly, it was a long and uncomfortable “Logbook Review”, and the CJO did not follow.

Just be honest with your hours. If you are fudging logbooks, there is no place for you at ANY airline. As long as you follow that simplest guidance, the logbook review is just BSing with a current or retired pilot for 20 minutes. Can be a great time if you happen to have shared time in types or companies. Don’t be surprised if they ask you for a number you don’t have handy. They just want to see if you turn into an asshat, or work with them to figure it out.

I printed and signed each page of my electronic logbook. Had the pages punched and put it in a nice leather binder. Used the post-it arrow tabs and wrote on the tab what it was the tab referred to. Also made a spreadsheet with pertinent times for 3, 6, 9, 12 mo -> 5 yrs. I think I had Turbine, SIC, PIC, Approaches, TT as the columns. Made the logbook portion of the interview last like 2 min...rest of the time was BSing til time ran out.

I'm sure I'm not the first one with this idea: make a truly part-time Flight Instructor position available, and I would think they would have no shortage of takers amongst the multitude of retired airline types in the Metroplex.
