IF we follow that timeline and an agreement is announced in Nov, it would get the company through the holiday season before the vote result is known.
or the BOD says no dice and we get released and make headlines on Dec 1 that sw pilots are released to strike. Pax flee and company gives us what we want one week later.

Whatever it takes to get a deal done. I’m debt free finally except for the house so the next couple months is stockpiling money for a strike.

I don't know. My guess is that the company moves just enough to make it look like there's no impasse, NMB says keep negotiating or puts us on ice for 6 months. I just don't see them releasing us Nov 30. I hope I'm wrong.

hope? If you want hope vote for Obama. You will prob get an AIP soon. If it is industry standard and you vote it down the NMB will not release you to self help. Your next deal will be better than the last, but only better enough to move the needle to 51%. The company will know exactly what that number is.

and then the doctor said..”RETRO? Damn near killed him!” Or something like that.

I think the NMB saw that trick last time.

I bet SWA won’t have any problems moving its jets either. Plenty will be willing to save SWAPA from being sued.

I dont buy this whole putting in ice thing. It's the boogeyman that nobody ever sees.
the company cannot afford to keep dragging this out. Investors are getting antsy.
Id think after nearly 4 yrs the nmb will come to the conclusion that it's never getting done.
look at ups drivers, they threatened strike and now people are lining up to work for them because they have the high6pay by far, health care workers went on strike for 3 days, auto workers are about to get a great deal also. I think the country is tired of corporations making all the money and squeezing the little guy. The mood has shifted.
I'm glad people are building their strike fund but AA stuck in 2005? And it lasted 14 min.
I doubt at 60 million a day sw will allow a strike to happen.
We need to call the bluff and get everything we want.

This is exactly right. I’m super ready to strike but they’re not gong to be shutting the company down over our contract.

Even if they did, what’s it going to cost them to do that for even a week?! It’s a storm that we can weather a lot better than them. So let’s stand strong and get what we deserve. It’s ours to lose.
