Bigger problem is that there is a possible government shutdown beginning on November 17th. Can’t get released on November 30th if the NMB is shut down. Seems like a get out of jail free card for the company.

Wishful thinking on my part….I’d love to take it to a strike after how mgt has treated us but I don’t think they’ll let it get that far.

Supposedly today is D-Day…..NMB set today as the day (that both parties agreed with) that a TA could be reachable by. I’m guessing big moves will be made to close out a lot of sections…but still have a couple things to iron out. They’ll set meetings next week and finish it out with an announcement and details after the FA TA vote closes.

SWAPA sent in an email two weeks ago that they changed the plan. Instead of Tues-Thurs in DC, they are meeting M-F in DAL. The change was to ensure access to the SWA IT department since language was down to the implementation timeline and IT has to be involved. I would be surprised if there is any announcement today (11/30). I would expect an update on 12/1 COB.

With how vague both updates were last week (after getting JA'd no less), I could see this week being a little more detailed. I've no idea how much is given to our TA influencing the FA vote....but since theirs closes in 8 days, it's not a big deal to me if it gets punted a week if they have to finish ironing out language, etc. There's no scenario where we ratify anything this year and any pay rates will be backdated to 1/1 anyway if we do ratify. As long as they don't rush it like in 2016 (NEC implementation anyone?) and it's 100% when presented.
