That top rate has to be DOS TOP. That would be a NO from me also. No way its the top rate end of contract. That would never pass.

I saw the same post on the FA 556 FB page. My 556 spouse says the FAs are pretty wound up about what we may or may not get and many are waiting to vote. Mine voted no.

Absolutely nothing surprising here (with one exception) if you’ve had your ear to the ground and read the recent tea leaves.
Only surprise for me is rates in Mulcher’s missive seem lower than what many expect.

We will miss the November 30th deadline publicly, but behind the scenes the deal will essentially be done by the 30th. It will take 2-3 weeks for swapa and/or the company to announce the deal but it will have been done by a couple of weeks by that point. The key points being, in his words: “a huge contract.”
It’s going to cost the company a lot of money and they basically caved to the last couple of asks swapa made. Swapa is going to let the company look like the hero when they announce the deal but they bent over at the last minute and started agreeing to everything.”
Sent to me by a Navy friend based in MDW. Like all rumors take it for what it’s worth…😉

And separately…

My buddy just typed this up:
Just had an impromptu small group Q&A w/ the MDW rep in the lounge, here are the highlights. Per the usual, take it with as much faith as any other sidebar convos.
Overall “the big stuff is in there, of course there are still a few things I don’t love”
Company is taking disability, instead of STD & LTD it’ll just be “disability” and kick in 2-3 months (couldn’t remember specifically) at a rate of 50% of earnings with no payout cap. Disability AND MEDICAL will continue to FAA retirement age even if changes. SWAPA will still offer an optional STD in case you don’t want to use sick bank for those first 2-3 months. Napkin math works out for the monthly pay to be a slightly better deal for CA, slightly worse for FOs compared to current LTD.
Disability will also pay NEC
Anyone out on disability now will be brought in to the new plan, not left on the old ****.
Co-domiciles are already AIP’d, they got some good protections in there & should be good for growth but still some reasons to be skeptical.
ELITT cutoff goes from 4 days prior to trip start down to 24 hours. Can ELITT across months as well, I.e. move a November trip into December once December ELITT opens. Reserve ELITT will also be in there.
Commuter policy remains as-is, no positive space or pay protection. Apparently that one was one of the brick walls they ran into.
Top pay rates $320-ish per TFP. Wouldn’t commit to a number, but we bracketed him in pretty close to that. Definitely something between 737 & 75/76 rates at competitors though.
LCO will be good, listen to the podcast for more specifics.
Most importantly: Very much expect something to be AIP’d, or at least “agreed to” this week. Up to 3 weeks for the BOD to review & prep before release.
? from a non SWA dude. Is there a benefit to paying trips vs hours? Never understood the rationale. Thanks.

Check your email. NC update is out via YouTube video.
Long story short - it's done with the exception of implementation and minor details. They are meeting every day until it's done. Jibes with the rumor mill.

implementation is huge! The company will want to stall for yrs. We have very big changes. I don't think the NC will fold on this one since it bit them so hard in 2016.
This easily could lead to an impass

Schrute bucks generally favor very long or very short legs. For instance, a 15 minute flight from DEN to COS pays 1 TFP. A very long leg pays greater than the hourly rate. Anything in between it's pretty much a tie.
Where it can be disadvantageous is when comparing apples to oranges for pay purposes. The company has recently decided a TFP is worth a little bit more than it used to be vs hourly pay. They base this on average stage length, which has steadily increased over the years and took a big jump when Hawaii started.
In the end, I think most pilots have been fed the TFP kool aid and believe it no matter what logic anyone uses.

yes. You get mileage or time whichever is greater. Milage benefits tfp for short routes ie <1hr and when being pushed by the wind in the winter going east.
going against the wind in the winter usually defaults to time. Basically tfp always pays more than if hourly.

Agree it's huge. This depends on how willing the company is to play ball. It could indeed lead to a very long delay. Anyone who was here for the last contract will not give this a pass. It cost us huge.
I don't mind short delays on tech stuff, but economics need to happen NOW. I don't want a repeat of the 9.6 percent 401k match going to zero during the implementation period while they figure it out. Uh, you could do 10 but now you can't figure out how to do 12?
