what you're suggesting is a job action that can get the union sued and we lose all leverage.
Everyone is doing what the union asks and goes about their regular personal work habits. If some doesnt work extra that great but telling someone they shouldn't is not ok, especially in negotiations.

Exactly. Not only that, but it's in this pilot group's DNA to be the polar opposite to the good ol' ALPA socialists collecting min guarantee and doing everything they can to get out of work while getting paid more...

Right or wrong, it is what it is... if we stopped picking up OT, especially given our history over the years, the lawsuit against SWAPA would be a slamdunk just on case law.

ALPA socialists. Cute. Especially coming from someone who benefits from COLLECTIVE bargaining. Cognitive dissonance at its finest.

I’ve not seen a place where there are so many workaholics. I’ve typically seen fly your schedule or less. But I’ve never worked someplace where it’s so easy to work so hard.

Yep... ALPA socialists... or maybe communists would be more appropriate. Basically, a salaried job with min guarantee, no ability to make more.... ever... because contractually, should you somehow credit more than guarantee, you would never see it because any excess would go to ALPA bank - not you.

Go back and read the Co-Terminal thread. It will become real apparent real fast. I can't dig it up at the moment. I'm currently enjoying unscheduled swaps and other good times.

Yep... true statement. But you know the best part? You actually have a choice... enjoy your 18-19 days off a month doing whatever you like doing, or you can flog yourself at work... entirely your choice. And choice is a beautiful thing.

It's the items in a TA that aren't necessarily worthy by themselves to warrant either passing or tanking a TA. The analogy is that you'll send a steak meal back because you don't like how the steak seasoning looks, and you're throwing a fit before the steak is even presented to you.
