Just state the facts and let the document speak for itself.

The argument against it is every time they say they had to compromise on something. There is no compromise in this environment and any compromise is a mark in the No column.
I just saw that SWA will now cover insurance for our EFB's if they are lost. My vote is YES

You know, I'm all for the clause in our contract that says "No Pilot on Southwest Airlines Pilot Master Seniority List shall be bothered by any other employee group butthurtedness. Hurt feelings shall never be the cause for any discipline of any Pilot." But that's about as realistic as renaming the negotiations sessions into DEMAND sessions and renaming our Negotiations Committee into Demands Committee.

This gets fixed via lawsuits. Proven false claim against the pilot? Lawsuit against the individual and against the company because they threaten termination for "retaliation." A few cases where they pay millions, maybe they'll get the point. Until there are consequences for making false accusations, not much can be done, and even less so if the polling data doesn't support it.
So your contention is that separate lodging/transpo language would only move the HR target on us to on duty periods?

My point is that until false accusations start getting severely punished, nothing will change. In the meanwhile, I protect my career by not interacting with them beyond the scope of my regular duties. In other words, I don't care enough about them or being around them to spend time, energy or effort on their drama, hysterics, agenda, etc.

The SWAPA BOD election cycle and the future "militant" shift in the BODs composition had more to do with the Nov "break thorough" than any other singular factor.

Read the "Thing" that comes out in 10-14 days. Know your worth and value. Understand your Union's history. Vote accordingly.

No no no no no no... "STOLEN!"

Never lost.

(That's about as good as any contractually secured insurance.)

Yep. Who bought that insurance anyway? It was so weird. If you know where you left something and it is no longer there, it isn't lost.

I like the way you think. Absolutely.

Pilots get threatened with retaliation, which is illegal, and they back down. When a few of these go to court and it costs the company it’ll change.

The "wish they hadn't left" statement is pretty lame and setting the expectation way too high.

I don't believe this contract will be that good. Especially if the rumored pay rates are true. The only way they might work is if LCO gets you a bunch of extra pay but with the other comment of "we want to work with the company to elimiate LCO" now you are going to be just above Delta 737 rate AND getting min pay for the month.

Company wins again "Congratulations you got a pay raise but we cut your monthly credit so your W2 is exactly the same as last year!"

Anybody else get a chuckle out of the fact that there’s one thread on APC insisting that the company is going out of business, and another thread on APC insisting that we get widebody pay rates and an extra week of vacation? 🤣
