SWA pilots have been told that they fly 737s so that the best they can get on pay rates. I guess that was a lie since half the cockpit will now get 757 rates. BOTH pilots can and should get 757 rates so why did that not happen?
Yet another gets it. Amazing.

It's great if the FOs are getting big raises, but I'm voting no if we're not getting $325 tfp for a 12 year captain in 2024. FOs get 757, but Captains get 737 + 1%? That's f#cking stupid.

I'll offer a counterbalance to all the negativity.

If LTD is fixed (no offsets, add NEC)
and if pilots on sick leave are treated like employees even once their sick leave is exhausted -- those are my lines in the sand.

As far as pay? I knew I was going to fly a 737 when I got here.

i wasn't one of those guys who had to pay for my training to get this job flying 737s. That would've been a line in the sand for me.

So I'm not going to dismiss an entire CBA over industry leading 737 rates of pay.

Barring anything unusually egregious, I'm a yes.

Serious fail! We all know FO's aren't human and don't deserve anything beyond captain's goodwill...

Actually, it’s a perfect play. ..

Last week: “I don’t want 757 rates. I want career earnings parity. 757 rates are not gonna cut it.”

This week: “The FO got 757 rates, why can’t I get 757 rates?”

Next week: “Finally, we got 757 rates. We showed them!”

Where is the list of leaked rates?

Meh...

NEC was 17 up to 18. Didn’t get a look at the MBCP

Company paid life insurance 800k

2.5% bonus each year we go without a new contract ratified

ELITT across months, opens on 23rd, ELITT out to 2 days instead of 4

VPF goes away turns into voluntary double time

JA gives you a Personal net zero (PNZ) to drop any day regardless of DTC
Like these.
Split to cover is almost completely eliminated

“Extended delay pay” 1 TFP for an extended delay within a pairing. No 1:1 duty rig pay after 10 hours.
Meh.. not really impressed. Need more explanaation.

Retro was big. Totaled 29% I believe, with 23% in 2023. Can’t remember the other numbers.
Let's see the bribe...

5 year contract
Meh... though if 2.5% raises go into perpetuity, it at least somewhat cushions the blow.

Crew meal pay 20$ for flights over 4 hours
Yummy... $20 bill served with Cholula, Tapatio and Sriracha Sauce. We really do have some weirdos here.

per diem goes to IRS maximum
OK... let's hear more about it.

Theyre stuck in implementation right now trying to get training bidding implemented. Company wants to push it late into the contract like 2027
What... they're afraid of LEAD pajama warriors revolting over having to pay attention to bid preferences? Sucks to be them.

There was a hard duty limit stop. Think it was 12 hours. 13.5 if there’s a deadhead.
Meh... don't care.

Those rumored pay rates that look like they’re made in excel are actually real. They’re within a dollar of the actual rates.
Those "leaked" rates were $8 per TFP short of 757 rates for the topped out CA. Now we know that FO's are sub-human and we don't care about them, so the fact that the company actually wants to pay FO's more is preposterous and scandalous... In all seriousness, I'd have to see more, but the whole thing sounds kinda... I dunno... underwhelming. And yet, my number 1 priority in all the polling is not even addressed in this "leak" which is LTD and what happens when life without OEM window shades or something else knock you down a few notches.

This is bait and switch. "Delta 757 pay rates" are narrowbody on Delta's scale. They are literally only 3% higher than 737. That doesn't even move the needle towards industry career compensation.

Don't even get me started on screwing the Captains over. Those of us who are FOs aren't dummies and we are NOT going to fall for that.

NEC needs to be higher.

So once they delay you, they can delay as long as they want because they already paid you a measly 1 TFP? The whole point of the 1:1 rig was to pay you more the more they delay you to disincentivize the delays.

Is that a joke? We need actual crew meals.

Why only flights over 4 hours? Most of our days are 4, 5, or even 6 legs of shorter flights not over 4 hours. With the early AMs and late PMs everything is closed and in between flights there aren't many good choices and long lines of customers.

So our days become less productive? Less time making money and more time at the airport hotel?

That all adds up to more days worked per month to make the same pay.

Is this the new "108 TFP" screw job?

Yep..... absolute trickery over a tiny increase.

Hopefully, we are smart enough not to fall for it.
