Holy crap. Did you hear that? Not only are you getting 17% NEC for disability, but also 17% for your sick top off. So guys on disability are getting more NEC dollars $$ than everybody else into their retirement. If you have the sick time going into your disability, that's a huge benefit.

Yeah I too am confused about the uproar over the union 1%. I mean if we had these new rates all along they would have gotten it anyway, so I dont see the problem in making them whole. Sure, giving money away sucks but to me this money was never mine to begin with, the 1% that is. Anyway, thankfully I can attend my road show so I dont have to sit through that horrible teams nonsense.

If you’ve watched the videos and listened to the podcasts the first couple hours of the roadshow seemed unnecessary. Less exposition and more time for Q&A would’ve been valuable I think. I’m torn as to whether to bother attending my domicile roadshow now, or just watching it on Teams.
After watching it seemed any questions against the TA the panel was not happy about.
All they talk about is the good stuff, no one mentions the bad stuff.
I didn't like how they justified the lacking pay compared to the FP 2020 career earnings section.
when reading that youd think we'd get more than a 1% bump for being the most productive and the most economical pilots in the world .
Also their answer to a 5 yr contract was lame. They want to go last to pattern bargin , again. I'm sure the company will drag it out long enough to be last without having to start a yr later. Also delta did no one a favor by setting the bar on pay so low.
the whole roadshow compared us with others instead of comparing us to us.
All the most productive talk was forgot about.

that's how I feel as well. Although I have a few questions the answers are not going to change my mind so I don't think it's worth attending.

Yes. Holiday pay, Extended Duty Pay, Sit Pay, late release pay (before a new ADG kicks in). We already had reroute pay, but it was expanded and made stackable, and includes both leg change and late arrivals after reroute. JA, as you call them, to an existing trip restricted and pays 200% both the orignal last duty period, as well as the new duty period (trip credit is also subject to any premium multiplier. JA (we call them inverse assignments) for seperate rotations is extremely rare because there are a number items that let you refuse, and besides, they pay 200% so they all get soaked up by people doing them voluntarily. All of these are pay/no credit, which means it goes above the reserve guarantee.

After leaning yes, after the roadshow, I am now a decided yes.
1) Rates - I'm OK with them. The market settled where it settled. Do I wish the rates were higher? Yes. Pattern bargaining led us here... and we don't fly 757's, nor do we even fly 737-900's.
2) Retirement - industry leading. Hands down.
3) Retro - it was amazing to see how much retro everyone else got and how we compared. We're also getting NEC on all of our retro.
4) Disability - again, industry leading. Bar none. At what other airline do you have 60 days elimination period, top up your disability to 100% using your sick leave balance, get NEC on your MBE and on your sick leave on top of that. DJ basically pointed out that if one goes out with a good sick leave balance, you actually stand to put more in retirement bucks than you would as an active pilot. Mind blown...
5) LCO - we are a one aircraft type airline. Operation will go sideways. Listening to DO and SP explain this, I agree this will lead to some big TFP credits. I'm not convinced that the company will purposefully overhire just to avoid paying premium, but as Casey said - they're free to mismanage. That's on them, not us. I'll happily take their money and get mine.
6) One thing that many seem to overlook - our maximum days on reserve are now 15 days. It's 18 at OAL's. Anyone look at line construction vs. how many days off we get in comparison to OAL's? I'm happy with this.
7) Medical freedoms - I think Freedom Flyers screwed it up as they were uncoordinated. I don't think what's offered is bad. In any case, there are multiple ways around their concerns, and I don't see this anywhere remotely close to being worthy of tanking the TA. Not by a long shot. But some are angry over crew meals... can't please everybody.
One notable thing I appreciated was Jody saying how this TA was the result of years of multiple SEP processes, and this TA is the result of what we collectively asked for, not what they thought was the best for all of us. I think he's spot on.
Not everyone is gonna be happy. Some are never gonna be happy. Some are pretending to be unhappy and are looking for some higher moral ground. To some people, not having a crew meal is the same as not having disability, great... vote no.
This TA addressed everything that I indicated on every survey I've taken, and it put me at ease should I become disabled. Good enough for my yes vote.

99% of those who are yes or no voters are not going to change their minds during the roadshows. Most of of the people that go to those are usually the fustrasted 50. Did you you notice how small the crowd was? Most people have made up their mind already. Again, this contract is not perfect. But most were their to let their grievances be heard. Good for them for letting the NC know how they feel. They pay dues too. In the end though this will pass.
