I still care. I still really care. Is that wrong?

I'd like the option to fly something else... but it's not necessary to me.

Hah, a CRJ certainly does not have a better cockpit. An ERJ, hell yeah it does.

Automatic bleeds and gen swap, no spinning wheel with a knee capper, actual EICAS.

Better ergonomics and a nice and clean overhead panel with switchlights. Much nicer windscreen that is bigger and has less pillars. I swear the seat was more comfortable too, but maybe it was just that my back was much younger.

You’ll forgive me if after about 9000 hours in the thing and many thousands more to go, I yearn for a change (especially if it’s a nicer and more comfortable work environment).

People want what they want, nothing wrong with that. The idea of never going to DAL for initial or upgrade again is extremely appealing. I’ve got 22ish years left so we may very well have another type by then…I won’t be chasing it unless it’s in my base though.

Whack, would you take a couple hundred grand paycut to go fly the latest and the greatest G? I think 787's and A350's are at least a generation and a half, if not two full generations behind. Worth it? ;)

Obviously not. What’s your point?

As someone who jumped over from 91/135 after 20 yrs yearning for this - the 'baggage' that comes with this shiny new corp jet and it's fancy cockpit isn't worth it...ever.

I'm looking forward to flying a dated 737 for the next 20+ yrs until I retire and open an island beach bar somewhere in the Caribbean.
