I bet it’s fun but too dangerous with single digit IQ folks driving around out there. I think driving is the highest risk for serious injury/fatality in the lives of my family.

Mini Coopers are great fun, just not quite as fun as the greatest roadster of all time. Honorable mention for the Golf R and GTI as well.

From one Mini owner to another, if you haven't already: run, don't walk, RUN back to your Mini dealer and get the longest, most comprehensive extended service warranty they have. You will need it.

Both...it's just a Euro car thing. If it's your first one, it might be an eye-opener. They aren't Toyotas or Hondas.

I bought it used so the factory extended warranty isn't an option. There's a European auto mechanic down the street from me. Maybe I'll stop in there and talk to them. I fear the spam I would be subjecting myself to if I start googling "extended car warranty"

I bought ours lightly used and about two years old from Carvana. When I took it to our local Mini dealer's service center for an initial post-purchase inspection, they told me it was still eligible for an extended factory warranty, but I didn't opt for it. I should have done it at the time, but cheaped-out. I would not have lost money on it...

Sorry for the continued thread drift, Mods.

I can't speak to the rest of the car, but the newer Minis use BMW's B48 engine, which has been extremely reliable

Isn’t it a BMW construction? Break My Wallet?

Pilot hiring numbers are rumored 300ish Q1.
