just to correct some missinformation posted here, the 600+ AT FO's are not getting stapled to the bottom of the list. The 160 SWA poolies and80 or so new hires are at the bottom of the list!

I can only speak for myself nwaf16dude...I would take the right seat at SWA over the left seat at my current airline because I could get away from the "Us against THEM" mentality that the legacies have engrained in their culture. I can have more than 10 days off in a month so I can see my family more. So I don't get denied for a trip trade due to "Operational Coverage". It's all on the computer. Just getting away from the incompetence of the regional airline level. I could make as much as I make now and would be happy with a company that views me as an asset and not expense...

I must confess to posting while intoxicated. Sorry. I'd delete it, but it would do no good since it's been quoted so many times. I still think it sucks to see it carved in stone that you have no chance to upgrade for a minimum of nine years. Yes, I'm still an FO, and will be for quite a long time. Luckily i have other income that makes FO pay livable. I still enjoy the job, so I'll keep doing it. However I probably would have chosen another path if I had known how long I'd be an FO. Best wishes to the SWA and Air Tran guys, seriously. I hope your contract gets even better to give us some leverage next year. Going back to bed... My head hurts

I work for DAL, & have 18 days off next month. No vacation, just 18 days off.

He won't be senior but the choice of QOL over upgrade just got really expensive since there won't be an upgrade seat for an AT guy until 2020

I just don't understand how a single AirTran F/O would vote for this. My god man, look beyond the pay raise and dollar signs for a minute and realize you are essentiaaly being stapled below every single SWA F/O. Your quality of life and upgrade prospects a ruined for the next 9 years, I just don't see how this doesn't go to Arbitration. Just my opinion, and I am sure the SWA pilots would disagree, or they will just argue or "threaten" to accept the deal or Guadlupe holdings will operate AirTran as a separate carrier unless they get their way. That smells alot like what happened to TWA, and they just won a huge Law Suit against ALPA. Again just my opinion, but I just don't see any LUV going around.
