Whack, which contract are you referring to???? The one you had when the acquisition was announced??? I'm guessing you're using the one GK gave you guys post-announcement to tide you over until you transitioned to ours. Your numbers about a pay cut don't add up ( if you use the original contract). But hey, keep spewing BS. Guess what, I'm a 8.5 yr FO whose upgrade is now projected at 18+ bc of this deal. You think I ever wanted anything to do with AirTran ??????? Guess how much of a career pay cut I'm taking??? But that doesn't seem to register with you guys. You think I'm happy SWAPA senior insiders negotiated themselves an upgrade and didn't get jack in money, stock, etc. for anyone else???? You think I'm happy the 717 went away??? I go to work, do my job, and be polite as I can be. I wont go out of my way to be a pr*ck like you apparently do. Grow up. It wasn't just guys on your side of the fence that were affected.
As for the paycut.....I'm the one who's got the AT Cptn checks to compare to the SW FO checks. Any ?s
An 8.5 year FO, huh? That's pretty much who I'm grouped in with. Yeah, so basically you were not even hired when I finished upgrade at AT. Wrap your head around that one. Good luck because I know for a fact that many who are on the outside looking in on this fiasco are probably wondering how that happens when two relatively stable carriers combine. Let me reiterate. You weren't even HIRED at SW when I FINISHED upgrade at AT.
As for upgrading, how many aircraft did you have coming (firm orders) at the DOM announcement in relationship to your fleet size as opposed to us? Here, let me help you.......SIGNIFICANTLY LESS THAN US AS MEASURED BY PERCENTAGES. Oh I know, you guys were just saving cash to buy someone. I've heard that excuse used countless times before.
I'll acknowledge that there's some pain for certain individuals on the SW side, but as a whole it's not even close to what we've had to collectively endure. 22% average seniority loss with a loss of almost all cptn seats VS. an 8% average seniority gain and "capture" of almost all of our Cptn seats. Yeah, that's pretty brutal. I'm not sure how you guys can stand it.

Good night y'all. Sleep tight on dreams of stolen seniority and artificial upgrades.

Well that settles it then.
Whackmaster is a sad, sad, scared little man in need of validation.
He even failed to acknowledge the quotes that I posted from the other SWA pilots in support of the AT cause.
Sad, sad, sad.

Nope, not former military. 4 airlines. Left a job at a legacy to come to SWA. You were in upgrade at MESA WITH BOEINGS before I was hired. Sure, I could've skipped college, not waited until I had three type ratings, over 8,000 hrs of flt time before I was hired at SWA, and generally set the bar low by aspiring to work at AirTran. Just like your Union buddy over there that likes to berate everything Southwest. If you're comparing a job at SWA to AirTran 2010, you're smoking crack. Yeah, you guys sure are bringing a lot of airframes to the table now.? You made the choice to work at an up-and-comer with a quick upgrade. Just like I made a choice to leave a legacy where I would now be in the left seat or close to it. That's life. Be sure to tell everyone out on the line how bad you have it.

SWAPA proved themselves to be petty and elitist thought the integration. Marching in front of corporate HQ in "support of management" at the same time while management was threatening the jobs of every AirTran employee is all the proof anyone needs. They colluded with management, that was obvious....even to the point that they demanded prior AT pilots are paid less during initial training.
Now they expect some allegiance to their union from us. Screw that, those MFers can blow me. Phcukin' scumbags.

Show of strength.
Not supporting mamgement.
But as can be expected, somehow it was all about AT.
We were NOT supporting management.
