Curious in how the platform would be attained when guys are tripping over each other for open time, carrying mels, pushing early, 30 knot taxi speeds, intersection departures? It takes more than a black tie, pin and a couple picketing events to get an industry leading contract. Lets not forget the FATS enjoyed a nice B fund before the merge.

And lousy pay scales to calculate the B fund. Most pilots are good at math--here's an equation for you to calculate. Which is greater?

10% of $240,000 or 8% of $140,000

My pay was 25% greater when I was calculating that AirTran B Fund than when I "transitioned" and was forced to calculate the 9.3% company match at my newly "enjoyed" SWA FO pay.

I call your bluff. I dare you to post your last Air Tran W2 before the merger was announced to the 1st W2 you had after transitioning to SWA pay. If you made 25% more, I will bow to the Great Whackmaster every time I post on a Forum. If it's less that the SWA pay, I will understand why you got so many KoolAid enemas: you're full of sh!#

Frankly, I couldn't be bothered. If you have a hard time believing that a fairly senior (in domicile) AT Cptn would take a 25% pay cut after transitioning to a mid-level SW FO in their new domicile then that's not my problem.

I'm of the opinion that NOTHING will convince you people that not all of us hit the lottery. Pulleeeez, get over yourselves and this often times silly airline.

So, when this contract passes and you get another 30% raise followed by another 35% raise when you upgrade again are you going to continue to cry me a river and tell me again how much you lost even though you are making 60% more than you did at AT before transition? Please also tell me how you were a senior captain that went to an mid level FO. All the senior captains were able to hold captain when they transitioned after Jan 1, 2015.

Let's also not forget that 80 percent of you list got anywhere from 30 to 50 percent pay raises when they transitioned. This is on top of the raises that you received after being purchased by SW.

The simple fact is that most AT will average over a MILLION more dollars at Southwest than they did at AT so please don't even go there with the "loss" that you may have temporarily received.

Plus just like Bwipilot said show us your pre purchase pay stub compared to now and I will forever sing your praises as the greatest Pilot ever to live if your Southwest pay is less than 25% of your pre merger AT pay.

In most other industries, when a takeover/buyout occurs, if you are on the receiving end of the takeover generally you find yourself on the street.

You should consider yourself very fortunate at the outcome. Be thankful for the deal you got and press on.

Good grief.

+1,000

The Whackmaster spinning lies again. At least when you win the F&*^&ing lottery you should say "Thanks!"
