Could we expect another picket soon? It's been awhile since the last one and my tan is starting to fade.

I completely agree.. Fly the contract. I wear my lanyard, I don't call for paperwork, I picketed headquarters... But I also don't call people out or get ****ed when people do their thing.. Im plenty frustrated with being without a new contract.. It took southwest, what 4 years? and delta 2? we aren't in uncharted waters here... Highly frustrating yes, but in my opinion that doesn't give people open liscence to use scare tactics against fellow pilots.

Open your eyes!

We've been in negotiations for 2 years yes, but this is the first volley in the round of Pay/Schedule. It'll go several more rounds

Sometimes we dont like how the sausage gets made, but it still needs to be made if we want to enjoy it.

If you think it will get better when many of us are bypassing JRMs in order to stand our ground, while others feast on them, it wont.

It will get worse and those that continue to feast, while the majority say "no more," will have more pressure on them.

There is anger out there, no doubt. How do you think someone will feel when they are saying "Im flying my 72 because this management group doesn't deserve any more from us" and then see guys with 200+ hours because they are bailing the company out and cutting deals. Sad part is many of our pilots had no idea this was even happening, right below their nose, deals being made.

Didn't they hand their pay proposal across a year and a half ago?

Yep and that's why we filed for mediation. Focused talks were a stall tactic and they were never serious. We got the NMB involved and the company decided they no longer wanted to be focused but wanted to open up every section and then bounce concessions at us to get us to negotiate current book. Now here we are a year and half later and they have put into motion their next stage of stalling by offering small raises paid for with work rules for a cost neutral deal. They know we won't bite but to the mediator it looks like "negotiating" unlike with the last contract where they outright demanded massive concessions. They learned from that mistake and this time have come prepared to push this thing out indefinitely. We should be beyond angry.

Got to witness a few single engine taxis today (no real wx anywhere) and a crew get dropped off at the airport in taxi last week. Are you kidding me?!!! Get a clue

Everything is the union fault.. blah blah blah. Never have I seen you complain about the company. Always the union. What have you ever done to help? Please I really want to know. Getting on APC and complaining like a huugge DB doesn't count.

As another said: Read the contract and know your rights! How can you claim to know if we get an improvement if you don't know what we have? How can you defend yourself if you have no understanding of the contract?

Does there need to be workshops or something?!?

I complain about the union only in so far as they a weak in their tactics. I have never said peep about their help with LOI's, grievances, even the extra they take for the merger fund. I actually think they do a pretty good job with all of that and more, especially considering what they have to deal with from the company and pilots.
But that doesn't buy them one inch of slack in my book when it comes to how they are running this negotiation.

What's the point of complaining about the company? Everyone knows their playbook. They're greedy fools run by incompetent hacks. News flash? Hardly.

When are you going to ask your union to do more about these repeated slaps in the face of all of us?
Where are the promised billboards, newspaper ads, pickets. Enough of the damn emails! Glad to hear a pay comparison is coming but where's the calls to the chokers? The informational pep talks? This place has more apologist and people afraid of their own shadow than the crappiest regional out there. Still waiting on a response from the NC.

Bueler?
