Look at it like this. You have auto insurance but don't plan on getting into a wreck. Now if the unthinkable occurs; I'll bet your really happy to have the insurance.
This new contractual language is our insurance policy that will protect us far better than we are protected today.

I'm too old to be a Millienial. Think I'm generation X. Think about it. There will be another round of consolidation sooner or later. I'd rather have solid language when that happens.

And I’ll agree; if you’re not sure if you’re gen X then you are. Touché. 😁

Question for you guys/gals. IF this TA passes do we need the NMB anymore for the rest of this process? I wasn't sure if they have to give their final blessing or sign any final paperwork before its a done deal. I was just curious because I assume they are non-essential government workers and as you know with the government shutdown mess going on I was wondering if that would have any delay on us.

Do you honestly think that Delta and United are going to continue making money for ever and ever? Eventually there will be a concession. That's when the playing field will equalize. For now, it seems as though the numbers released today by the Spirit MEC create sustainability and offer large increases from the current agreement. Isn't that the point??
Legacy pilots will eventually have to drop their drawers, as they always have, to re-stabilize and establish the new baseline. History repeats. It's shortsighted to say Spirit will never catch up, more likely to ponder is how long can the Legacy's hold on to what they have. poof

Delta American United SWA as well as fedex and ups I doubt will lose money in the next 10years unless another 9/11 happens

Wow. I am a very optimistic guy, but this is almost crazy. Oil is at 63 and rising. Peak profit is in the rearview mirror. Q3 of 2017 every single airline made less money than Q3 of 2016. Many financial analysts think United will loose money at some point in 2018. I honestly believe the legacy contracts won't get much if any better. Small improvement if any in the next round.
