They’re offering me a 10% raise to $237/hr while losing my QOL control to a great extent, all while not earning PS/ESOP/inventive bonuses. And a less-than-stellar 11% DC to start. Might I remind you that this is the BEST negotiating environment we’ll ever see.

No vote from me until the TA, but not impressed by my bullet point math yet
you need to be realistic though. You're stretching on your numbers and that's not the best way to do it because what you can make in a year is more important than what you might make in a month. IF the language is good this contract will affect everyone differently (I.e commuters vs home based, CA vs FO, line holder Vs reserve and older pilots vs younger ones. All in all though as long as everyone votes with an educated understanding of what the changes are than we can't complain. You're seemingly a fairly senior CA and I'm a mid-level FO and our votes are of equal importance and at the end of the day we have to respect the whole groups decision even if we don't like it. Than again America did vote in Trump so I really hope we don't vote in the Trump of contracts.

Ha and I should subsidize your TX2 You get every month when most of us don't? Gotcha.. Luckily there is more of us than you . get a 78 hour line in the future drop down to 60 at $229 an hour and that puts you over $13,000 still with your 18-19 days off. And if you if you decide to "work like an airline pilot" as stated in subsequent post and actually work your 78 hours you'll be at $17,000/month, not to mention that same exact schedule at DOS + 4 will get you $15,000/$20,000 month at $264/hr. And your family will suffer with big increase in retirement? better LTD insurance? and some semblance of scope protection? Thats a head scratcher right there.. But yeah our families should suffer without those protections all while you get that nice TX2 with 19 days off. Gotcha.

It's funny you bring up the fact that this is the reason they didn't put out the last company proposal. This AIP essentially IS the last proposal, plus scope (free for the company) and LTD which costs 2% of our pay according to an all pilot call. It pains me to see so many people cheerleading an AIP which is basically the same as September plus 2% in the form of LTD. ALPA says it adds 56 million in value over the last proposal. Big freaking deal! The company saved that by pushing it off three months! And now they get a $200 million tax break and don't offer more? I am terrified this will pass too!

quit making up numbers... net income YE 2016 was around 264 million. a 35% tax rate is roughly 92 million in federal tax. a reduction to 21% of 264 million is roughly 55 million. a savings of 37 million. 37 million in savings is quite a difference from your 200 million calculation. your about 163 million off.. If your gonna spread fake news, atleast make it believable fake news!!

My apologies. 26 million times 7.5 years (how long we've been under this contract, and probably the same for the new one) equals 195 million. Not much of an exaggeration in my opinion. And when you factor net income increasing as we go (hopefully), 200 million might be a low ball number. Point being, it's pathetic where we are at. I hope the MEC votes to save us from ourselves and doesn't put this up for a ratification vote.

I'm voting yes. The scope protections will help us especially if this airline gets acquired or announces a merger. 43% raise then 5 years later get another 43% raise. That's big bucks folks.
