Thank you!, at least some here have the mental capacity to think like an adult

Well, that "adult" thinking is going to net us all a kiddie contract. We will be the laughing stock of the industry. What pilot group in history has voted in PBS and other huge quality of life concessions outside of bankruptcy and not gotten industry standard pay? Does that sound like a smart "adult" decision to you? Plus, the company needs more scheduling flexibility from us in order to grow. And they need transition conflict gone now! If we could just be patient, we can at least make them pay for those things. I will give up some quality of life for industry standard pay, but certainly not for near the bottom! The company negotiators have clearly outwitted you guys!

And it will affect all junior guys and everyone when they upgrade. I will read the TA thoroughly, but I am NOT giving up quality of life for nearly Industry bottom rates. I wish we didn't have so many who are willing. You guys are an embarrassment to the whole profession.
Everyone will be flying a lot more under this new agreement (when it passes). A lot of work rules are being sold off to fund the increased compensation. You don’t need to be a rocket surgeon to understand this.

As much as it pains me to say, we aren’t forgoing LTD, a DC retirement, substantial pay increases all for some people to maintain what amounts to a part time job.

1. Who cares what anyone but our pilot group thinks, we're the ones living under it. Let me ask you, does it appear our current rates are dragging down the industry? Lol...

Jetblue, I don't really care about them, they've under cut the industry for years. They deserve an industry lacking contract for ****ing out for pay for a decade. At least Virgin guys took a stand early on, unfortunately it failed due to a technicality. If jetblue pilots had their way we would all be flying pairings like JFK-LAX-JFK (remember that??).

Frontier, I feel bad for those guys, they're tough! Hopefully they are given the opportunity to strike.

Allegiant, I would have hoped they held out for more, but they did what's best for them and they FOUGHT for it!

You need to get over the insecurity.

2. It's called negotiating for a reason, it's a give and take. You get as much as you can, then you move on with your life.

ne·go·ti·ate

**try to reach an agreement or compromise by discussion with others.
"his government's willingness to negotiate"
synonyms: discuss terms, talk, consult, parley, confer, debate; More

3. Smaller carriers will ALWAYS at the bottom. Reference Alaska airlines and their "#5" status and pay commensurate with said status.

4. It takes cycles. Some large gains are being made and there is some loss in QOL. Vote according to what's best for you.

5. Maybe next time, while were making a livable wage, we can hold out. Being at the top and holding out for more is one thing, THIS IS NOT THAT THING.

6. Personally, I'm in a good enough camp based on bullet points but I need to read SCOPE AND LTD and see the minutia in SCHEDULING. Those will be my deciding factors.

It's a good time to be a pilot and there are plenty of options if you're not happy and not to LAZY to go and get what you want!

Best of luck in your decision. I really see this thing passing, primarily because we have so many looking to leave. Why not get a pay raise and bonus while looking for another job? After all, according to some MEC members it's why they did not put out the bendo mailing proposal. They were "TERRIFIED" it would pass.

WHAT A WASTE OF A SUNDAY!!!

So I should subsidize you and work much more and lose tons of my QOL control, all for a 10% effective pay raise, all because I’m senior and should get in line and my family should suffer for you? Gotcha...

If you’re senior, I’ll guarantee you’ll do better in every respect under this new deal. The junior people will most probably take a QOL hit.

WTF is a “rocket surgeon”. Do they operate on an ill rocket?, lol

Maybe the term you are looking for is “rocket scientist”, or perhaps “brain surgeon”

But yes I agree with you for the rest of your post

I average 20 hours and 4 days for every TX2, which I get most every month. With a 74 hour award, that means: 170 x 74= $12,580. That’s for 19-20 days off. If I go pickup during that month and work “like an airline pilot” with 15-16 days off, I’m at: 74 + 20= 94 x 170= $15,980. That’s an “effective rate” of $216/hr, and I call the shots on if I want to work or not. They’re offering me a 10% raise to $237/hr while losing my QOL control to a great extent, all while not earning PS/ESOP/inventive bonuses. And a less-than-stellar 11% DC to start. Might I remind you that this is the BEST negotiating environment we’ll ever see.

No vote from me until the TA, but not impressed by my bullet point math yet

And don’t tell me there will be premium opportunities. 1) I won’t have the days off to do any, 2) we lose the top two premium drivers we have: TX2 and schedule integrity

100% for sure! Bottom 50% will pay the price. QOL is gone!

I've already made the phone calls to the powers that be.

Signing bonus split 3 ways: Captain/ Hybrid Capt/FO / FO. BTW the bottom new hires plan on zero $$.

100% no vote
