Outsider F9 guy again. Just read the last 15 pages. Mostly good discussions. But it seems like a recurring theme is the general belief that you’ll never be released by the NMB. Why is that? The TRO? Something else?

Copied and pasted from the 2016 United PWA (bold mine). I think someone posted it already a page or two back.

Let’s hold out for another $20 an hour over the next year in which the govt will take half of in taxes. We all know what our mgmt team is capable of. We have holes in scope. LTD sucks. Pay sucks. Possible merger during this period.
We give Bendo another year of this and we might just find out how bad our present scope is.

Because the mediator keeps referencing its 43% plus LTD etc... we aren’t getting released. She has sided with mgmt the whole way.

I do see a situation where Indigo will stall negotiations with F9 until they are released. Then a merger between Spirit, F9 and possible Allegiant will occur. I envision a meeting with the NMB and Indigo explaining how this merger will severely complicate the negotiation process and require much more time. Which means a couple more years of the lowest pilot pay rates in the industry, big savings for Indigo.
Franky makes his money buying airplanes, selling them to a leasing company then leasing them back. Rumor is around 5 million per airframe. What else is he going to do with 200 plus ac on order? There is no way he can grow F9 with all those planes.

SWA is a Duty Period Minimum(DPM) of 5 tfp. However, the Average Daily Guarantee(ADG) is 6.5 tfp."Min-paying" 2-days are 13, 3-days are 19.5, etc. There are exceptions to the rule, but for the most part you aren't getting less than 6.5/ day when you show up to work.

This ridiculous proposal appears to have the exact same crappy rates as proposed a few months ago, has a 5 hour duty day AVERAGE not a 5 hour guarantee per day, etc. and cements Spirit to the bottom FOREVER!! Definitely not worth waiting for..........

Cathy McCann said so. Period. She’s airline management turned mediator. We can wait the company out on recruitment which to be honest is helping but they can still fill classes. We need 22/mo. They hire 60. She’s not going to help us though
