We got an AIP!

Damn right. The only problem is say we do vote no as we probably should. We won't see another TA for a least a year with no guarantee of how much higher we can get the pay rates and without any retro. Also as the moderator told us this is the biggest "raise" in the history of the RLA or something to that extent I can't remember so she seems to be pretty satisfied with the compensation part of the agreement. Another year of negotiations could yield almost no gains for us on top of lost wages and security this TA provides. So it's a risk vs reward game for sure since the moderator is definitely corporate friendly vs union friendly.

They have outsourced our flying in the past to Miami Air when they couldn't staff so they have and will do it again if they have to. Staffing is not an issue as long as they continue to hire FO's who have spend less than a year at the regionals. So this "leverage" you speak of in terms of staffing is not really existent, yet.

Again this is not on us the words directly from the moderator lady was that we would be getting the biggest pay raise (percentage) in RLA history so that is why should could not get on board with higher rates.

Legacy pilots will eventually have to drop their drawers, as they always have, to re-stabilize and establish the new baseline. History repeats. It's shortsighted to say Spirit will never catch up, more likely to ponder is how long can the Legacy's hold on to what they have. poof

Do you honestly think that Delta and United are going to continue making money for ever and ever? Eventually there will be a concession. That's when the playing field will equalize. For now, it seems as though the numbers released today by the Spirit MEC create sustainability and offer large increases from the current agreement. Isn't that the point??

Yeah and if this crap pay passes it’s where all of us are going to drop too......that’s why I have an interest. It’s called pattern bargaining. Low pay rates hurt the entire industry.

You guys realize you can vote this turd down right? The longer this goes on the harder it will be to staff the airline. Grow a spine and VOTE NO to substandard pay. I am a B6 guy and if they came at me with anything remotely like what yours sounds like I would be getting my strikin' boots all polished up.

So does having multiple regionals flying E175 in United paint doing flying that should be done by mainline. You should worry about that first.
