What part of know flows, limitations, and memory items verbatim did they not understand? That’s 80% of the oral, the other 20% is a lap around the panel which is something you should e able to get through at this point in your career.

Hey just curious because everyone keeps throwing this “4 sims” amount around. For me it’s what I find discouraging when I weigh risk vs reward in applying to Spirit; a bust is no fun. What does that translate to in hours per seat? Are you partnered up and get, for example, 8 hours left seat and 8 hours right seat?

8 hours in each seat is correct. You get 11 lessons in the FTD prior to the sim which allows you to learn the automation. They don’t work very well which adds to the stress. Systems is basically self taught in your hotel room after class each night. It is certainly not a course where you are spoon fed but they will give you extra training if you want it or they feel you need it. It’s a big boy course that requires a lot of work, if you think you’re going to be going out drinking beer every night you’ll be in for a big surprise. It’s not fun and it’s pretty rough but it’s doable. Good luck!

You’re correct, the review is covered during the pre-brief as well as automation. You need to show up already having an understanding of the systems which aren’t very complex. My point was this is a big boy course and you will not be spoon fed the information like the regionals or flight safety. If someone fails to put in the time each night after class they will not make it.
