What kind of self respecting pilot really needs to care if another pilot has 2 or 3 bags?

Also, uniformed crew are actually exempt from the 2 bag rule. I dont know the exact reference, but its in the regs and company policies. Out of uniform an agent can make you check one, however not for a fee.
Would really love it if you could find out a reference. I’d love to go show that agent in Chicago next time I’m there and not trying to get home for Christmas.

There's no FAR that says you can only have 2 bags. What the FAR says is that you should reference the Weight and Balance manual of the airline. Airlines just like to throw that ball in the FAA court instead of taking responsibility for being the 2 bag limiters.

Their weight and balance manual would be an FAA approved program so it’s kinda both

Aero coast efb cooler II I think it is. Food/iPad/miscellaneous in one. What’s in the third bag? I’m dying to know

Most people carry food in eBag or luggage works cooler. The other is for, iPad, laptop, headphone that I use for commuting and misc. Next time you see a pilot with 3 bags ask them if you’re dying to know.

Back to Cali, showing 5 seats open with only me as the JSer/nonrev. For a Sunday evening flight the last day before school starts again:

Edit: now showing 7 open

And you always have 5-10 people no show. First time fliers who get to the airport thinking 45 minutes prior to push is plenty at places like ATL.

Going in December I left my house a full 3 hrs prior for the NK flight out of LAX. Drive to airport is 20 minutes. Took me 1:45 to make it to terminal. LAX is an absolute standstill sh**show entering the airport area, and the same standstill once inside the horseshoe. I didn’t even have time to drop car at the employee lot. I was only off 2 days so parked it in terminal 5 parking at LAX which is $40/day. Even parking like that and waking to the terminal, we got to gate about 40 minutes before departure. Barely made it!

Lesson learned for holiday period at LAX!
