Yeah, have to chuckle a little when when people cite "culture" as a reason to stay. If you've ever been anywhere else you'd realize we don't have much of a culture. We have a good group, but I don't work here for friends, I like hanging with my family instead.
That said, I'd leave for Delta in a flash, except I'm getting too old and I'm VERY COMFY, let's call it complacent, where I'm at.

Fine to keep telling them that but let’s not lie to ourselves. We are either here because we senior enough to not want to start over, we are lazy, or we aren’t competitive to leave. It’s not because spirit offeres something better than a legacy airline. The rationalization is why we got the contract we got instead of the one we should’ve gotten. I don’t care why anyone stays or leaves as long we stop accepting that we should get less because it’s spirit or we can’t or are too lazy to go elsewhere. The company capitalized on that defeatist attitude and will again when we are once again 50% behind everyone else seven years from now and some mediator tells us the raises we are asking for are huge. It’s huge because we are never closing the gap because of the rationalization we have for staying here.

Hey, and thanks for the reply. I love how people hide behind the web and speak like they have the biggest D!@k in the world.
At least you were honest and told me your story in your words which is off course your side, and I appreciate that.
Why I mention the big 3 is this,
I live in a town where only the big 3 fly into as a regional, and occasional main line. This is the reason I don’t want to work for Spirit or Frontier, I would simply not get to work, and I would lose my job and pay.
I could drive to a spirit base, and that would be 7 hours, so it’s a long shot.
Anyway, thanks for your reply, and I am just ignoring some of members here,
Thanks again.

Huh?....
You can commute/jump seat on any airline. You’d make it to work just fine. Plus there is a commuter clause.

I don't believe it. All Spirit pilots are either ex-regional guys that are just too stupid to know that this place is no better than their regional and they should have gone to Delta or too lazy to fill out an app or such losers that they don't have a degree and can't leave. No one could ever be happy here. Impossible. And what excuse are you giving your friends and family for staying here?
