I think we are way past trying to “get ahead” of this. We have crews being escorted to safe places in airports and planes diverting mid flight because SJU is under civil unrest. I honestly don’t think an irate passenger in SJU, who is unstable enough to break windows, would read an ALPA press release.

Spirit failure. Big time! Pilots be safe and get the hell out of the airport if it looks sketch.

Can’t wait to see the Quid we get for this! Sarcasm

But since we have this whole strike thing going for us, let’s get out our demands

1. Delta A320 pay rates plus “metoo” clause

2. New Rolex watch for a pilots 10 year anniversary with the company.

3. Company Funded VEBA plan.

4. 18% DC for our 401(K)

5. Free health insurance for our pets

Health insurance for our pets… hilarious. I literally couldn't stop laughing. Meltdowns happen for everyone and usually in the summer. The unfortunate thing for spirit is that’s it’s been a monumental tasking turning the reputation of this airline around. And in 5 years I would say it’s been a marked improvement. Some hiccups here and there but getting people to not absolutely hate us has largely worked in my opinion. One crap week like this can and might ruin lots of good will. Living down to our reputation is unfortunate. We have much shorter rope to hang ourselves with. That just the reality. Well survive and Thrive, this isn’t the end of the world …but evaporating some shred of good will we had been earning can be gone like a fart in the wind… unfortunate. And If management saw FA and ramper staffing weeks ago then they shoulda pulled down some of the Schedule the way American did .. what good is “busiest summer we’ve ever had” if we can’t staff it …

What’s the cute little phrase Scott said on the conference call after the 2019 meltdown…”we got ahead of our skis”

I seriously can’t blame any gate agent for walking off

And by peaceful you mean peaceful by Minneapolis standards.

I don’t think there have been any fires. This is more Jan 6th standards. Destruction of property and physical assaults.
