Because a steep slope gets you to the top quicker. Did you ever take math in middle school? Or was that optional. And who gives a rat’s rear what the CA year one rate is when WE DON’T HAVE ANY year one CAs and are damn unlikely to get any? Seriously, can you do the math well enough to even see what a year four CA would be under that formula? A six year CA? Obviously not.

You would have loved our old contract, steepest slope around. Again, you don’t start at year 1 and work up. You start at year 12 and work back. You really are out of your league on this, like usual. “Do the MATH” haha

Get someone more knowledgeable than you - an accountant or even a middle schooler perhaps - to run the numbers for you. Maybe make a graph for you, some people are more visually oriented. This isn’t rocket science but it is math and I know, for some people math is hard.
