I’m willing to bet the 7 were training failures. And 12 going to American?! I almost feel the joke is on them . Enjoy that morale toilet and daily reschedules.. no thank you. Untied is aggressively Poaching our guys and I can’t blame them. Good business move. Numbers are concerning but not a 5 alarm fire. I suspect numbers will stay elevated. Whatever is done to Address the issues rest assured changes are on the horizon. Good bargaining chip in my
opinion. We’ve been a good ride last decade. We all knew the airline biz has many ups and downs (pun intended) as bob Dylan said .. the times they are a changing..

It makes me wonder when does it become cheaper to pay new hires $90-95Hr and benefits from 1st day of class like all of our peers than to pay all these extra training costs due to higher attrition of new guys leaving after 6 months. The CP email a few days ago talked about that, it is a massive cost to train and then watch them leave.

How many guys went to braniff, eastern, pan am instead of some little startup in Texas with 737s.. how’d that workout? The argument that we suck and everyone else is Great because they are going there instead of coming here is laughable. It’s not that binary. The perception the grass is Greener elsewhere is human nature. Maybe it is maybe it’s not. But I see the schedules some
of my friends have at AA … no way Jose. If your brand new and wanna bail then by all means go for it. But to suggest this place is massively inferior because it’s perceived the bigger guys are so much better is a purely a personal view. The view from where I sit I couldn’t be happier. More Money will be nice and pretty sure that’s gonna happen. Be careful what you wish for.. you may get it .
and since I’m throwing out quotes, I think Robert frost Said something like: a road diverged in the woods and I took the path less traveled by, and
that has made all the difference.

Just out of curiosity, where are AA, Ual, or DAL people going to? I won’t include SWA because that place is a dumpster fire right now. But by your analogy, if the big three aren’t leaving for someplace else it’s no good. JetBlue? Does that place just suck? I’m not hearing big 3 guys going there. Fedex? UPS? Must be trash outfits, huh? Maybe use another metric for your arguments about the place you chose not having as green of grass right this second.

This is true.. the grass is not always greener elsewhere. I have a friend that lives in FL in base and is leaving for Ual next week. He is willing to commute to EWR. I told him that he will HATE that commute. Anything from EWR to any FL destination is a difficult commute. The jumpseat policy at Ual is seniority based and not like here where you just list within 72hrs and the JS is yours. He didnt seem to know that, do your research before you leave. He will be getting bumped off that JS by many senior Ual pilots for years to come.
