He is such an incredibly phony individual. On one hand he touts our work rules as being a reason why people come here and want to stay here and then he mentions pay lagging. So does anyone believe Bendo isnt going to show up, willing to pay more, in exchange for those work rules that he likes the tout as being a benefit of being here? Such a huckster.
And Jeff Miller, his concern is just to buy more sims and instructors to train more pilots to account for attrition. Why fix the holes in the damn when you can just get a larger reservoir for the water to go into.
This is who leads us. These clowns and Ted, the one with the beard and the $12m parachute deal he is working with JBlu as we speak, while the company is trying to schedule more redeyes.

Maybe his words stave off a few guys from filling out apps.
Once again they’re touting the fast upgrade spiel too. Same playbook as before.

ORD had 108 CA displacements in the last canceled displacement bid. And they said today they expect it to be similar, so 108. But does that account for ORD pilots leaving for vacancy openings in other bases? IF 20 ORD CAs leave ORD for openings in the vacancy bids before the Feb1 effective date for the displacement, say IAH ATL or somewhere else, is that 20 going to lower the 108 displacements? OR are they running their "trial" bids for "us" in order to see how many willing participants are looking to leave base via vacancy, and then have the displacement with the same number as before.
Because if they see 20 ORD CAs are wanting to leave for voluntary vacancies on these practice bids, and they say "we plan on displacing the same," thats still possibly 128 pilots getting hacked off the ORD list. They made no mention that pilots leaving for vacancy bids will effect displacements, just attrition. Its not a mystery why they are running these 3 practice bids, it isnt for our benefit, its to get us to update our voluntary and involuntary displacement tabs, along with the vacancy tabs for the new base. They are basically backdooring us into showing where we want to go, and they adjust the numbers to what they need on that.
Super long winded, I know. But I dont think the displacement numbers will be as simple as similar to what we saw before and the after effects on those 3 bases.

I think this could be misleading on their part.

I might be overly skeptical of their words, but this is a group who has stated twice their goal is 500 displacements. But for everyones sake, I hope it remains at the previous levels at worst, and hopefully less.
