We had a JB jumpseater the other day. Totally agree. Their contract, as is, is a lot better than ours in many ways. I think we only benefit from having JetBlue. People who want frontier just don’t see the path forward with JetBlue, so it makes them nervous.

I tried breaking the clip mechanism off, threading a keyring through the loop of the main lanyard, and clipping the holder on that. Still some annoying thing dangling around my neck.

Just so you know…you don’t instantly go on their contract once you merge. You have to have a 3 party negotiation with the company, Spirit ALPA and JB ALPA. My guess is that JB ALPA isn’t going to just agree to get no contract gains so that Spirit pilots can all be moved up to a better contract. So its going to be a long negotiation. Also the company will not really want to have any work rule or pay improvements so they will just filibuster as long as they can. I’d be shocked if it was less than 5 years to get a new contract. By then everyone will have a chance to go to a Legacy that will already have new contracts.

Jetblue wants to buy Spirit for planes and pilots. A five year JCBA would make the purchase pointless.

I don’t see it taking five years. That would negate the entire reason they are trying to buy NK. I’m not saying it will be five months but five years is not practical.

Just hope when all is set and done, the “new” JB ALPA actually has a pair…..and doesn’t have CK.

Might want to slow your roll there chief. My perusing though your contract hasn't shown me anything I'd consider "better", Section 3 rates being the slim exception (at my longevity anyway), and y'all had to go through a contentious NEA TA to get to even those. Our red/green alone is worth it's weight...

Sure, but the best of both our contracts is the starting point. The better our starting position, the better off we’ll be. JetBlue management strikes me as more labor friendly than Franke and friends.
